The Genesee County Office for the Aging (OFA) will resume senior center activities and community programming at its Batavia location, 2 Bank Street, beginning Monday, March 16. Programs had temporarily relocated due to a water outage at the facility. While activities are returning, the OFA side parking lot will remain closed as repairs continue.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and Batavia Police Department are participating in New York State’s STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign from March 12–18, 2026. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday period, when celebrations often lead to increased risks on the road.
