Drop Box Locations

• Batavia: On Court Street at the Genesee County DMV Office.
• Le Roy: Outside the Town Hall on Main Street.

Instructions

• Registration Renewal: If you received a renewal form from Albany, complete, sign, and return it by mail or drop it off with a check payable to Genesee County Clerk. Transactions are processed daily and mailed back to you.
• License Renewal: An eye exam is required. Your eye doctor can complete form MV-619, or you may visit a local provider linked with the NYS Vision Registry. Submit the renewal form, a check, and a copy of your driver’s license via the drop box. If you did not receive a renewal form, print and use form MV-44.
• Plate Surrender: Drop off plates with $1.00 cash (no checks) in the drop box. A receipt (FS-6T) will be mailed to you. Transactions are processed daily.
