Genesee County Manager's Office

The Genesee County Manager's Office oversees and coordinates County departments, programs and services under the direction of the Genesee County Legislature.

Mission

The County Manager's Office supports the effective day-to-day operation of Genesee County government and helps ensure that County services are delivered for the benefit of residents.

Responsibilities

Genesee County is a non-charter county. The County Manager's authority and responsibilities are established by and carried out under the direction of the nine-member County Legislature. The County Manager serves at the pleasure of and reports directly to the Legislature.

The County Manager's Office:

  • Implements policies established by the County Legislature.
  • Oversees and coordinates County departments.
  • Supports the administration of County programs and services.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between County departments and the County Legislature.
