The Genesee County Manager's Office oversees and coordinates County departments, programs and services under the direction of the Genesee County Legislature.
Mission
The County Manager's Office supports the effective day-to-day operation of Genesee County government and helps ensure that County services are delivered for the benefit of residents.
Responsibilities
Genesee County is a non-charter county. The County Manager's authority and responsibilities are established by and carried out under the direction of the nine-member County Legislature. The County Manager serves at the pleasure of and reports directly to the Legislature.
The County Manager's Office:
- Implements policies established by the County Legislature.
- Oversees and coordinates County departments.
- Supports the administration of County programs and services.
- Serves as the primary liaison between County departments and the County Legislature.
