Report Fraud, Waste or Misconduct
County employees and members of the public may report suspected illegal, unethical or improper conduct involving County employees or appointed or elected officials.
Examples of reportable concerns include:
- Fraud, waste or abuse
- Violations of laws, regulations or County policies
- Misuse of County funds, property or other resources
- Improper gifts, kickbacks or financial activity
- Retaliation or intimidation
- Workplace or public safety concerns
- Other known or suspected misconduct
Reports will be reviewed and investigated as appropriate. Concerns may be reported without fear of retaliation or intimidation.

Preventing and detecting health care fraud, waste and abuse is an important responsibility of the Genesee County Legislature, County management and all employees.
Contact the Compliance Officer if you suspect an employee, contractor or agent of Genesee County has engaged in noncompliance, fraud, waste or abuse.
