Fee Schedule

Recording Requirements

  • You must include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for documents to be returned to you. Please ensure the envelope size and postage accommodate the document size.
  • Scanned documents must be legible and reproducible. This means a clear, readable image, including signatures and notary seals.
  • Document font size must not be smaller than 8-point font.
  • Documents must be submitted on legal or letter-size paper (ledger-size paper is not accepted).

Accepted Forms of Payment

Payment is accepted in the form of cash, personal checks, or money orders made payable to Genesee County Clerk.

Credit and debit card payments are accepted in person only. A 3% convenience fee will be charged on the total amount, or a $3.00 minimum fee, whichever is greater.
