Accident Reports Online: $14.00

Accident reports will be uploaded within approximately 5 business days from the date of the accident and may be obtained online 24/7. Please visit CrashDocs.org to request an accident report using the report number, accident date, and last name. Downloads are available in PDF or TIFF format.

Criminal Background Check: $10.00

Please keep in mind that this background check is only for records on file at the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. It will not include records from any other agencies (ie: NYS Troopers, City of Batavia Police Department, etc.)

To release a copy of your background records, you must first complete an Authorization for Release of Information(PDF, 350KB) form. Please allow approximately 7-10 business days for your request to be completed.

FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) Request: 25¢ per page

If you wish to request a copy of records under the Freedom of Information Act, an (PDF, 2MB)Application For Public Access to Records(PDF, 2MB) must be completed. The Records Access Officer will review your request, and you will be contacted within approximately 5 business days with the total number of pages and cost of your request for payment.
