Children with Special Needs

Children with Special Needs Program is designed to support young children (from birth to age five) who have developmental, physical, or emotional challenges. The program focuses on early intervention to ensure that children with disabilities or delays receive the necessary resources and services to thrive as they grow. 

Early Intervention/Child Find Program

Information about free early intervention services available through the Genesee and Orleans County Health Departments for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities, including eligibility, services offered, and how to make a referral.

Preschool Special Education Program

Information on accessing free evaluations and special education services for children ages 3–5 with developmental delays or disabilities through local school districts and the NYS Education Department.

Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN)

Information about the Case Management program offering referral, advocacy, and support services for children from birth to 21 with special health care needs, helping families access resources, health insurance, medical services, and advocacy to ensure quality care.
