Community Health Services

Throughout the years, the GO Health Community Health Services division has been driven by the public health needs of our community. At Community Health Services, we work to prevent a variety of conditions that could negatively impact our residents and their families. These include communicable diseases like vaccine preventable illnesses, foodborne diseases, rabies, and sexually transmitted infections, and other conditions like overdoses and lead poisoning.

Our public health nurses offer an array of public health clinics and services to Genesee and Orleans County residents including childhood and adult immunizations, tuberculosis screening and treatment, confidential sexually transmitted infection referral and counseling, confidential HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis counseling and testing, and maternal and child health services. These services may be covered by insurance or you may be eligible for care at no cost.

Our epidemiologists are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting a variety of local public health data including reported respiratory disease cases, wastewater analysis for disease and drug use trends, and drug overdoses to inform policymakers and the community. They also implement various prevention initiatives, such as managing our Fatality Review Board program that seeks to reduce suicide and overdose deaths locally.
