Children with Special Needs

Children with Special Needs Program is designed to support young children (from birth to age five) who have developmental, physical, or emotional challenges. The program focuses on early intervention to ensure that children with disabilities or delays receive the necessary resources and services to thrive as they grow.

Community Health Services

Community Health Services in Genesee and Orleans County offer a range of services, including immunizations, tuberculosis screening, STD counseling, and HIV testing. They protect community health through disease monitoring, hazard detection, and public education. Services may be free or covered by insurance.

Environmental Health

Public Health Education

Public Health Education aims to promote health and prevent disease, disability, and premature death through behavior change activities. Educators offer information, education, and training to bridge the knowledge gap between the general public and the scientific community. Our team works in collaboration with community partners to utilize resources and enhance the overall health of the community.

Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP)

The Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) program supports a prepared and resilient community through planning, training, drills, exercises, outreach, and emergency response. We facilitate response to existing and emerging public health threats through multi-agency coordination and oversee the Medical Reserve Corps of the Genesee and Orleans County Health Departments (GO Health MRC.)

GO Health Weights & Measures inspects commercial devices, ensures fuel quality, and promotes shared services to improve community safety.
