The Genesee County Youth Board sponsors an annual Youth Recognition Award Banquet honoring outstanding people in our communities.
The Youth Award is presented to young people who have demonstrated outstanding or extraordinary contributions to their communities or families.
The Adult Youth Worker Award is presented to a youth-serving professional in a paid position whose work exceeds normal expectations.
The Adult Volunteer Award is presented to an adult volunteer who is a positive role model for young people.
Nomination forms are distributed to schools and other organizations throughout Genesee County so individuals can nominate people who meet the award criteria. Recipients are recognized by the Youth Board and other community members at a dinner in early spring.
