GO Health MRC is a volunteer organization and medical reserve corps dedicated to local community well-being and resilience. Our mission is to help communities stay safe, healthy, and prepared for public health emergencies.
Volunteers come from all backgrounds, including those with and without healthcare experience. They include healthcare professionals, county employees, retirees, and community members who want to contribute their time and skills.
Coordinated by the Genesee and Orleans County Health Departments, the focus of the MRC unit is to:
- Host safety trainings that are open to the public
- Provide education for more resilient communities
- Assist to expand local public health services and community needs
- Helping with public health emergency response when needed
Volunteers can choose their level of involvement. Some participate regularly, while others prefer to be available only during large-scale emergencies. All levels of service are valuable and appreciated.
Thank you for helping build stronger, healthier communities in Genesee and Orleans counties!
