Jail Bureau

The Jail Bureau of the Sheriff’s Office is responsible for carrying out the Department’s mission as it relates to corrections. Its primary functions include:

• Providing proper care, custody, treatment, supervision, discipline, and correctional programming for all individuals committed to the custody of the Sheriff.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules, and regulations governing the operation and management of the County Jail.
• Creating conditions and opportunities that help incarcerated individuals develop the skills needed to function in society as productive, law-abiding citizens.
