NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That a Public Hearing shall take place promptly at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Genesee County Old Courthouse, 7 Main Street, Batavia, New York. The purpose of the said meeting shall be to consider and obtain public comments on the request filed with the Genesee County Legislature for the inclusion of viable agricultural land into an existing Agricultural District and to consider the recommendation of the Genesee County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board. During Genesee County’s annual enrollment period (January 26th - February 24th), one parcel in the Town of Darien (Tax Map Parcel No. 2.-1-30.2), and one parcel in the Town of Pembroke (Tax Map Parcel No. 25.-1-23) were requested to be included into Agricultural District No. 1, four parcels in the Town of Elba (Tax map Parcel Nos. 15.-1-58.1, 14.-2-45, 14.-2-46.2, 14.-2-48) were requested to be include into Agricultural District No. 2, and one parcel in the Town of Bergen (Tax Map Parcel No. 15.-1-8.121) was requested to be included into Agricultural District No. 4.
