The Genesee County Board of Elections is reminding voters of important early voting, absentee ballot, registration and address change deadlines ahead of the Primary Election on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Early Voting

Early voting will be available for nine days beginning Saturday, June 13, through Sunday, June 21, at the ARC Community Center, 38 Woodrow Road, Batavia, NY 14020.

The early voting schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, June 13: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 14: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, June 15: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 16: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 17: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 18: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, June 19: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 20: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 21: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Voters may check their poll site through the New York State voter lookup tool or by calling the Genesee County Board of Elections at (585) 815-7804. All poll sites and the early voting site are accessible.

Absentee Ballot Deadlines

Absentee ballot applications may be requested by calling the Board of Elections or by using the New York State absentee ballot portal. The last day for the Board of Elections to receive an absentee ballot application is Saturday, June 13.

The Genesee County Board of Elections office, located in County Building 1, 15 Main St., Batavia, NY 14020, will be open Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please use the accessible entrance on the west side of the building.

  • The last day to apply in person for an absentee ballot is Monday, June 22.
  • Absentee ballots must be received at the poll site or Board of Elections office no later than 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
  • The last day to postmark a ballot is Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
  • Postmarked ballots must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
  • Military and special federal absentee ballots must also be received by Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Voter Registration and Address Change Deadlines

Voter registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Saturday, June 13, 2026, in order to be eligible to vote in the Primary Election.

Residents may register in person at the Genesee County Board of Elections or at any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act on any business day throughout the year. To be eligible to vote in the Primary Election, the application must be received by June 13, 2026.

Changes of address must be received by Monday, June 8, 2026.
