Parking Lot Closures Scheduled at DeWitt Recreation Area

The Genesee County Department of Public Works will complete paving and sealing work on the parking lots at DeWitt Recreation Area beginning Wednesday, September 16. The schedule is weather permitting.

Parking Lot Closure Schedule

  • South parking lot: Closed Wednesday, September 16, and Thursday, September 17, for paving. The lot is expected to reopen Friday, September 18.
  • North parking lot: Closed beginning Friday, September 18, for sealing. The lot will remain closed through the weekend and is expected to reopen Monday, September 21.

Visitors should plan accordingly and follow all posted signs and barriers while work is underway.

Genesee County appreciates the public’s patience as these improvements are completed.
