As the Bank Street Streetscape Improvement Project comes to a close, the Genesee County Office for the Aging (OFA) is preparing for the return of programs and services to its main location at 2 Bank Street.

OFA’s walk-in staff, temporarily relocated to Job Development during construction, will return to 2 Bank Street once paving work is completed later this week.

In addition, OFA’s Recreation and Wellness Programs and meal site will officially resume at 2 Bank Street on Monday, September 22, 2025. This staggered return will allow for a smooth transition as the building fully reopens.

“We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to 2 Bank Street,” said OFA Director Jessica Riley. “We are grateful for the patience of our community during construction and for the support of our many partners who helped us continue operations over the past two months.”

The Office for the Aging extends sincere thanks to the Genesee County Job Development Bureau, the Richmond Memorial Library, County departments, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Havenwood Congregate Apartments, the Batavia First United Methodist Church, and the Batavia First Presbyterian Church for graciously hosting OFA programs and events during the construction period.
