Notice of Adoption of Local Law - Elected Appointed Officials Salaries

NOTICE OF LOCAL LAW ADOPTION IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following Local Law 2 of 2026 was adopted by the Genesee County Legislature on December 10, 2025 and was subject to permissive referendum. There was no event of a valid petition requesting such referendum received prior to January 26, 2026, said Local Law was filed with the Secretary of State in accordance with the applicable provision of the Law. Filed as Local Law 2 of the year 2026, in relation To The Salaries Of The County Officers Of The County Of Genesee, Elected Or Appointed For A Fixed Term by the Genesee County Legislature. BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the County of Genesee as Section 1. Legislative Intent. The salary of County Officers set forth below shall be as follows: a.) Commissioner of Public Works $134,900; b.) Commissioner of Elections (2) $65,359, c.) Commissioner of Social Services $124,619; d.) County Clerk $115,299; e.) Director of Real Property Tax Services $93,868; f.) Human Resources Director $127,793; g.) Sheriff $128,193; h.) Treasurer $114,799. Section 2. Permissive Referendum. This local law is effective, subject to permissive referendum, forty-five (45) days after the date of its final adoption and on the date, it is duly filed in the Office of the Secretary of the State of the State of New York and in accordance with the provision of Section 24 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York. Section 3. Effective. The above salaries shall take effect January 1, 2026. This Local Law was approved and properly filed within the Office of the Secretary of State on February 3, 2026. Lisa K.
