Genesee County Hazard Mitigation Plan

Help Shape Genesee County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan

Genesee County is currently updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP)—a strategic document that identifies and prioritizes actions to reduce risks from natural hazards such as flooding, heavy rainfall, drought, and extreme temperatures.

As part of this update, the County is inviting residents, workers, and stakeholders to complete a brief public survey. Input gathered will help the County better understand local concerns, preparedness levels, and mitigation priorities.

Why Your Input Matters

Participating in this short survey will help:

  1. Guide strategies and projects to reduce risks from natural hazards
  2. Ensure our communities are better prepared before, during, and after disasters
  3. Make Genesee County eligible for federal funding to support recovery and mitigation efforts
  4. Identify ways to improve emergency response and disaster readiness
