Genesee County is recognizing Operation Green Light for Veterans to honor those who have served in the Armed Forces and show support for service members transitioning to civilian life.
The County has designated November 4–11, 2026, as a time to salute and honor the service and sacrifices of those transitioning from active military service. The recognition also expresses gratitude for all veterans and their continued contributions to our communities.
In observance of Operation Green Light, the Old Courthouse at 7 Main Street in Batavia will be illuminated in green from November 4 through November 30, 2026.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to display a green light in a window of their home or business from November 4–11, 2026. This simple gesture shows veterans that their service and sacrifices are recognized and appreciated.
