The Genesee County Office for the Aging (OFA) is providing an updated service notification following a water outage that impacted operations.

Office Location & Services

The OFA office at 2 Bank Street remains closed at this time. OFA operations have transitioned to County Building 2 (3837 West Main Street Road, Batavia). Staff will continue to operate from this location until further notice while repairs and accommodations are ongoing.

All core OFA services remain available during this temporary arrangement.

Community members with questions or in need of assistance are encouraged to contact the Office for the Aging at 585-343-1611.

Individuals seeking walk-in services at County Building 2 should follow posted instructions in the building and call the listed OFA extension upon arrival. Staff will assist callers and provide guidance on available services and next steps.

Staff Availability

Front desk and management staff remain available, and OFA staff continue to work from temporary county locations as needed. Phone extensions remain active, and staff will continue to return calls promptly.

Senior Center & Recreation Program Update

The Office for the Aging has updated its Senior Center recreation and activity schedule, effective December 29, 2025, or as otherwise noted, to reflect temporary location changes, program pauses, and resumptions.

Key highlights include:

  • Several activities resuming at the YMCA on adjusted schedules
  • Select programs temporarily on hold until further notice
  • Some activities relocated to community partner locations, including churches, libraries, and County Building 1
  • Senior center lunches continuing at Havenwood Apartments, 240 Richmond Avenue, Batavia
