Genesee County Awarded $2.5 Mil in NYS Vacant Rental Program Funding

Three informational sessions scheduled for May 12 and May 13 in Batavia, Pembroke, and Le Roy
Genesee County has been awarded $2.5 million through the New York State Homes and Community Renewal Vacant Rental Rehabilitation Program, and property owners across the county are invited to attend one of three upcoming informational sessions to learn how they can put these funds to work.
The sessions are being hosted by Genesee County in partnership with G&G Municipal Consulting and Grant Writing and CMD Group, with stops in Batavia, Pembroke, and Le Roy.
This funding will help property owners renovate and reoccupy vacant rental units throughout Genesee County, ultimately increasing housing availability and improving neighborhood stability.
Each informational session will walk attendees through the program requirements, eligibility criteria, application process, and how to request disbursement for approved project expenses.

All property owners with vacant residential units in Genesee County are strongly encouraged to attend whichever session is most convenient to determine whether the program fits their needs.
