Genesee County Threat Assessment Committee (GENTAC)
Published on November 06, 2025
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office would like the public to be aware of the Genesee County Threat Assessment Committee (GENTAC) a collaborative initiative to help identify, assess, and prevent acts of targeted violence such as school shootings, workplace violence, or domestic terrorism.
GENTAC unites law enforcement, mental health professionals, social services, schools, and community partners to intervene early when concerning behaviors are reported — helping individuals get support before violence occurs.
If you’re concerned that someone may be planning, talking about, or threatening to harm others, you can submit a report anonymously at www.gentac.org or call 585-483-3090.
If there’s an imminent threat, call 911 immediately.
