Extreme Heat Expected in Genesee County

Hot and humid weather is expected in Genesee County this week.

Heat is expected to build on Tuesday, with the highest heat index values possible on Wednesday and Thursday. A Heat Advisory is in effect Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., and an Extreme Heat Watch is in effect Wednesday through Friday.

Residents are encouraged to take steps to stay cool, limit time outdoors when possible, check on neighbors and loved ones, and know where daytime cooling centers are available.
