Early Voting Schedule & Deadlines for Nov. 3 General Election

The Genesee County Board of Elections is reminding residents of early voting opportunities, voter registration deadlines and absentee ballot requirements for the General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Early Voting

Early voting will be available for nine days, from Saturday, October 24, through Sunday, November 1, at the GLOW Arc Community Center, 38 Woodrow Road, Batavia, NY 14020.

The early voting schedule is:

  • Saturday, October 24: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 25: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Monday, October 26: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 27: Noon–8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, October 28: Noon–8 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 29: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Friday, October 30: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 31: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 1: 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Voters can confirm their Election Day polling location online or call 585-815-7804. All polling locations, including the early voting site, are accessible.

Absentee Ballots

Voters may call the Board of Elections at 585-815-7804 to request an absentee ballot application or apply for an absentee ballot online.

Important deadlines are:

  • October 24: Last day for the Board of Elections to receive an absentee ballot application by mail or through the online portal.
  • November 2: Last day to apply for an absentee ballot in person.
  • November 3, by 9 p.m.: Deadline to deliver a completed absentee ballot to the Board of Elections or a polling location in Genesee County.
  • November 3: Last day to postmark an absentee ballot. Mailed ballots must be received by the Board of Elections by November 10.
  • November 16: Deadline for the Board of Elections to receive military and special federal absentee ballots postmarked by November 3.

Voter Registration and Address Changes

Voter registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections no later than October 24 to be eligible to vote in the November 3 General Election.

Residents may register in person at the Genesee County Board of Elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act on business days throughout the year. The October 24 deadline applies to registration for this General Election.

Changes of address must be received by October 19.

Special Saturday Office Hours

The Genesee County Board of Elections office will be open on Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for voter registration and absentee ballot applications.

The office is located in County Building 1, 15 Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. Visitors should use the accessible entrance on the west side of the building.
