The Genesee County Department of Public Works will close a portion of Creek Road in the Town of Batavia beginning the week of July 27, 2026, to replace a deteriorated cross culvert.
Creek Road will be closed between Putnam Road and Brookville Road, near Cook Road, for approximately three weeks. The road will be closed to all traffic, including emergency vehicles, during the project.
The existing 42-inch cross culvert has reached the end of its useful life, and its deterioration has created hazardous conditions. Crews will remove the existing culvert and replace it with a new smooth-wall plastic pipe.
Motorists should plan an alternate route and allow additional travel time.
