Cole Road Bridge Closure for Culvert Replacement Project

The Genesee County Department of Public Works announced today that Cole Road in the Town of Byron will be closed beginning the week of September 22, 2025, for a culvert replacement project.

Cole Road will be closed at the project site for the duration of construction. No traffic will be able to pass through until the project is completed. The closure is expected to last approximately eight weeks, weather and utility coordination permitting.

Motorists should plan ahead and allow extra time for travel.

The work will involve replacing an aging culvert to ensure continued safe travel and reliable drainage in the area. Genesee County thanks residents and travelers for their patience as this important infrastructure improvement project is completed.
