Healing Community, A Community Awareness Event

Join us for this year’s Genesee County National Crime Victims' Rights Week event as we honor victims and survivors, raise awareness about victim services, and foster community support. The 2025 national theme, "Kinship: Connecting & Healing," highlights the importance of community connections in the healing process for victims and survivors.

Event Highlights:

• Honor Guard & Bagpipe Ceremony: Opening tribute to victims and survivors.
• Opening & Closing Remarks: Opening remarks from the Genesee County Sheriff's Office and Closing Remarks from the Genesee County District Attorney's Office.
• Featured Presentation: Linda Dynel: Author of Leaving Dorian: A Memoir of Hope and its sequel Finding Krissy: A Memoir of Survival. Linda’s compelling story speaks to the resilience of victims and survivors of intimate partner violence.
• Panel Discussion: Representatives from local organizations will share insights into the services they provide to victims in our community.
