Genesee County has been awarded $2.5 million through the New York State Homes and Community Renewal Vacant Rental Rehabilitation Program. Property owners across the county are invited to attend an upcoming informational session to learn more about the program and how the funding may help bring vacant rental units back into use.

The session is being hosted by Genesee County in partnership with G&G Municipal Consulting and Grant Writing.

The $2.5 million award will support the rehabilitation of vacant rental units throughout Genesee County, helping increase housing availability and improve neighborhood stability.

The informational session is intended for property owners, landlords, and contractors interested in learning more about the Genesee County Vacant Rental Program. Attendees will receive an overview of program requirements, eligibility criteria, the application process, and how approved project expenses may be paid through the program.

Property owners with vacant residential units in Genesee County, as well as contractors interested in renovating apartments, are strongly encouraged to attend. No pre-registration is required.
