Genesee 2050 Comprehensive Plan Presentation

Join us for the 2025 Update Presentation highlighting Genesee 2050—the County’s comprehensive plan designed to guide the future through lessons from the past. This annual presentation shares insights from 10 stakeholder focus groups representing more than 180 members across sectors, including agriculture, housing, safety, technology, transportation, community wellness, and more.

Key priorities for 2025 include:

• Expanding the Ellicott Trail east to Monroe County and west to Erie County.

•  Advancing Phase 3 of the County Water Project and utility extensions for industrial growth.

• Strengthening housing opportunities and exploring a countywide housing strategy.

• Supporting law enforcement, fire, and EMS through regional initiatives and competitive compensation.

• Protecting farmland while balancing energy development.

• Coordinating countywide zoning and streamlined government processes.
