The Genesee County AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Program connects adults age 55 and older with volunteer opportunities throughout Genesee County.
A Volunteer Specialist can meet one-on-one with prospective volunteers to help identify opportunities that match their skills, hobbies, interests and available time. Volunteers are then connected with local nonprofit organizations and government programs that need support to carry out their missions.
Volunteer opportunities are available in a wide range of roles. Benefits may include no-cost training, supplemental liability insurance coverage while serving and an annual volunteer recognition event.
Volunteering can provide social connection, opportunities to learn new skills and a meaningful way to support the community. AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP supports more than 250 active older adult volunteers serving at more than 20 partner sites throughout Genesee County.
