Career Center Facilities and Room Rentals

The Genesee County Career Center offers meeting, training and recruitment space for businesses, workforce development partners and approved service providers. Use of Career Center facilities must be scheduled in advance and is subject to availability.

Using Career Center Meeting and Training Space

Businesses may use Career Center facilities at no charge for on-site employee recruitment activities. Interagency meetings may also be held at no charge when the group is invited by a major Career Center partner, including the New York State Department of Labor (DOL), GLOW Workforce Development Board (WDB) or Genesee County Job Development Bureau (GCJDB), and the meeting is related to workforce development.

Approved service providers may also use space for workshops or services that benefit Career Center customers. Examples include SCORE Business Mentors, library computer classes and health navigators.

All space must be reserved in advance and is subject to availability. Groups must use only the room they reserved and return the space to its original condition when finished.

Uses that do not directly support the Career Center's workforce development mission may require a rental fee. Private-sector businesses using rooms for meetings, orientations, employee training, workshops or similar activities are required to pay the applicable rental fee.

Additional workforce development partners interested in joining the One-Stop system may be required to share in infrastructure costs. In-kind services may be considered.

Resource Room

The Resource Room is open to the public for workforce development activities and employment searches. Partner organizations and service providers may also assist customers in the Resource Room.

Room Reservations and Payment

Rental fees must be paid in advance to reserve a room. Businesses and outside agencies should contact the Reception Desk to check room availability.

If a rental fee applies, the Genesee County Job Development Bureau Fiscal Manager will provide the fee information and collect billing details. The reservation is confirmed after payment is received.
